We are looking to grow our team by recruiting Graduate Trainees. This is an entry level role working alongside our Account Team, with the opportunity for progression to Account Executive after 1-2 years. The successful candidate will take on a client focused role delivering political and community engagement services to companies. This position will suit a recently qualified graduate with experience in engaging the public. Strong research skills and sensitivity to community based issues is paramount.

Graduate Trainee
Based in George House, 36 Hanover Street, Glasgow, G1 2AD
Salary Banding – £20 – 25k (depending on experience)
Core Hours – 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Invicta Public Affairs steers clients through challenging political, regulatory and media landscapes at a local authority level as well as at Holyrood and Westminster. We seek to influence the development of public policy and regulatory landscape where it affects the business environment. Reporting to:
Account Manager(s)

Responsible for:
Working with the account team to deliver the day to day running of client accounts and to ensure all work is produced in a timeous fashion and is of the highest quality.
Working with the wider team to deliver public consultation for client projects, including public exhibitions, community liaison forums, attendance at community meetings and general engagement with the general public.
Working with the wider team to produce high quality copy for projects.
Researching key legislation and initiatives where relevant to a particular client sector or the Company.
Researching political and regulatory landscapes for current clients and when new business opportunities arise for the company.

Ability to work well under pressure.

ICT Competencies required:
Experience Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Experience of SPSS (preferred)
Experience of word press

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Candidates must be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline such as social science or business. Ideally, he or she will have experience of public relations, social research and dealing with the media. The successful candidate will have an exceptional working knowledge of politics, current affairs and the governmental network in Scotland and the UK. The candidate will also have the relevant skill set for representing and advocating issues of public concern.

This role is based in Glasgow, but will require travel to London and across the UK on occasion. This may include overnight stays. A full, valid UK Driver License would be also be preferential. We offer a generous benefits and pension package to all employees.
